The Big Bass Lake Belle Sails Again!

The designer of the “Belle” should reconstruct her every year for the tourist trade on Big Bass Lake. Originally prepared for the annual boat parade on the Fourth of July, this novel idea has marketing power. Can you imagine guests at Grant’s Resort being ferried around Big Bass Lake on a guided tour?

After all there are five islands to encircle not to mention the sunken island just west of Four Winds and Turtle Islands.  In that same location is the entrance to the channel between Big and Little Bass Lake.  Then there are the southern islands of Haunted, Big, and Grandma’s Hat to see plus the bridge to The Big Island and even the public landing.

Part of Lakeview Cemetery can be viewed from the lake and there is always the history of the old Big Bass Lake store to take in.  And what a venue to take this all in of that of a paddle boat!  The only question that remains is WILL the Big Bass Lake Belle sail again?

Geese, Not Kids, Enjoying Seaman Lake

Just look at that ideal float sitting all by itself out there in Seaman Lake! Yet at this moment, instead of kids frolicking in the lake, there are just a few geese enjoying that pursuit. I can almost imagine this same scene in the winter with sleds cascading down that hill onto the ice covered lake. I wonder how far across the lake a sled could go down from that hill?

What a scene to behold! It makes me want to run down there, onto that pier, and dive headfirst into the lake making for that raft. Or perhaps just sitting on that pier and dangling my feet into the lake while fishing. Yes, this scene conjures up a lot of imagination activity for the just about any summer. And even a few revolving around a sled or saucer.

Comfort at Little Bass Lake

What a nice way to unjoy the view at Little Bass Lake!  I can just imagine enjoying a bar-b-que sandwicf along with a beer and chips while I watched the traffic pass by at that lake.  Then maybe settle back with a good book or a quick glance at the local paper would top off that day.

Deck overlooking Little Bass Lake are a great idea to take in that great view.  I wonder how many residents take advantage of something like that to enhance their home?  At our cottage on Big Bass Lake, for some reason, our deck was on the side of the house facing Big Bass Lake Road.  I would have preferred a deck facing the lake.  However maybe that was because our dining room had multiple windows overlooking the lake?

Decks are a compliment to any cottage and bring great views into play.  It makes one want to get out their own boat and enjoy Little Bass Lake themselves.  Or maybe to take a quick dip off their own pier in the refreshing waters of that lake?  Go for i!
