A Bridge for Flat Chuck to Be Even Flatter

I would sure hate to be in a canoe on this river trying to negotiate that bridge. An ant on a frog pad would have trouble doing that. This was caused by the 2008 torrential rains that hit the greater Ludington area that washed out roads, flooded homes, and caused US 31 between Scottville and Manistee to be completely shut down.

One has to wonder if the high river ever reached the actual bridge? Anyone out there know? Here in Indianapolis there is an on-going feature about “Flat Chuck” who is really a weather anchor at WTHR by the name of Chuck Lofton. If he tried to go under this bridge he would be an even flatter Flat Chuck!
