Unlike the 2012 Summer Olympics in London this year, the Steve Jones Badmitton Tournament at Seaman Lake saw NO one throwing any matches. It was a picture perfect two-boy contest that went for two days. Watch the birdie!
Competition was fierce and highly competitive. It was the first, and last, tme that badmitton was ever played on any of my trips to the area. But Steve organized it and it was perfect for our tim a Seaman Lake in late spring. We stayed at a cottage on that lake.
Yes, matches were lost but never deliberately and the Olympics could have learned from Steve’s contests about how to ply the game with inegrity. Can you even imagine corruption in the sport of badmitton? I mean, what will all the Michigan birdies think?
