I remember the day when I took Ricky Herrmann around Big Bass Lake on our motorboat. There was hardly a breeze in the air and the lake was smooth as glass. We took a route first around the Haunted Island and then north past the twin islands. Our boat then ventured forth toward the channel between Big and Little Bass Lake.
I pointed out the area where Camp Martin Johnson once stood. We got in as close as we could to the twin islands and then headed south and around the eastern side of The Big Island. We glided under the Waite Bridge and headed back to our dock. It was a perfect day to take in all the beauty of the lake and along the way we saw many boats out doing much the same thing.
